Director of Clinical Affairs

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leads and develops a Clinical Affairs team for Eyas in accordance with business, regulatory, and product objectives.

  2. Develops strategies to drive adoption of neonatal MRI. Trains customers to apply the best possible clinical procedures and protocols to achieve optimal usage of the Eyas neonatal MRI system.

  3. Develops product and clinical training materials for the Eyas neonatal MRI system. Supports writing of white papers, brochures, video, etc. on clinical applications for use by sales and marketing.

  4. Supports the pre-commercialization and commercialization (once FDA cleared) process.

  5. Builds and maintains customer relationships and provides customer feedback to the business.

  6. Helps optimize the customer experience by supporting integration of the Eyas neonatal MRI system within a customer’s workflow and procedures.

  7. Collaborates with internal sales, marketing, product development, project management, and service organization teams as needed.

  8. Stays up-to-date with innovations in MR technology and medical trends. Identifies key opinion leaders and establishes an extensive network of contacts in the MR community to drive adoption.

  9. Follows all required Company procedures, including quality and safety procedures, and maintains complete and accurate records.

  10. Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.

  8. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, et cetera).

  9. Ability to learn specialized industry specific software.

  10. Understanding of regulatory and quality standards and requirements for medical devices.

 

Required Education and Experience:

  1. Master’s degree or Ph.D. required in biomedical engineering, medical physics, or related scientific, technical, or engineering field is strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree combined with relevant experience will be considered.

  2. At least 5 years of managing/supervising a team.

  3. An in-depth knowledge and understanding of Magnetic Resonance.

  4. At least 10 years’ experience in MRI in a clinical setting including at least 3 years’ experience with Philips MRI products.

  5. Demonstrated success in managing clinical business partnerships and studies.

  6. Experience with software development, design of MR sequences, image reconstruction, and image post processing.

  7. Experience in a medical device startup environment is strongly preferred.

 

Work Location:

This is a full-time exempt role that is on-site at 1105 Western Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio (unless traveling to visit customers). Core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. 

 

Other Considerations:

  • This position reports to the CEO.

  • This position does not require regular travel in the short-term, but as the company grows, it will require regular travel to customers (estimated 30-50%).

  • This job operates in a professional office and/or manufacturing environment that includes high-strength magnetic fields. Persons in this role must comply with company policies and procedures associated with the work environment.
